Top Antique

The Top Antique room, located upstairs above Grandpa’s room, stands as a rustic and historic sanctuary. This room served as Helen and Helmuth’s living quarters until Helen’s passing in 1962. With a queen bed for comfort and a single bed tucked in an alcove, the room offers a unique blend of coziness and vintage charm. Guests can experience a piece of the past while surrounded by walls that hold secrets and stories of the couple’s early days in Castro Canyon. The Top Antique room is not only a place to rest; it’s a living testament to the enduring history and familial legacy of Deetjen’s Inn.

$300 weekday / $375 weekend

Room Details

  • Check-in time is 4 p.m. and checkout time is 12 noon.

  • All rooms are non-smoking.

  • No pets allowed.

  • We require a two-night minimum stay on weekends and holidays.

  • Rooms are subject Monterey County taxes.

  • To ensure a tranquil stay for all of our guests, we ask that everyone be quiet after 10 p.m. and before 8 a.m.

  • We do not have roll away beds.

  • If there are more than 2 guests per room, we charge a $25 housekeeping fee for each additional guest. By order of the Fire Marshal over occupying a room is prohibited by law.
